Arizona Firefighters

SIERRA VISTA, AZ - We are thankful that the Monument Fire is 85 percent contained. As of Sunday night, the Fire had burned about 30,526 acres. More than 10,000 residents have left their homes and thousands of animals are endangered.

Struggling ranchers in the area affected by the raging fire are getting help from The Arizona Cattle Growers Association, which has established a fund to help ranchers who lost hay and land for their cattle to graze upon.

The Great Arizona Bale-Out Fund will help provide hay and feed for ranchers affected by the Monument Fire as well as those affected by the Horseshoe 2 Fire in the Chiracahua Mountains and the Wallow Fire burning in Eastern Arizona.

Lord, we pray for all fire fighters and public servants who put their lives at risk each day so that we might be safe. We especially pray for all those involved in containing the recent Arizona fires as well as those who came to their assistance. Help the recovery efforts for those impacted by the fire and bless those in most need.

Lord, remember all those suffering from natural disasters here and abroad. May everything we experience draw us closer to you.

Grandpa Jeff, Chicago, Illinois

Chicago, Illinois - Grandpa Jeff has spent the last few months of his life in hospice care battling cancer in the Chicago area. His funeral was Monday. We pray for eternal blessedness and peace for Jeff and his loved ones. We also pray for all hospice care-givers that God may strengthen and renew them. Lord, comfort all souls preparing for death this day with your divine presence and mercy.

Please pray also for all those experiencing an on-going spiritual death. We intensely pray for those in need of spiritual healing, especially those who do not believe in God or reject God because of a lack of faith. We ask for their conversion. May our Lord's intervention and deliverance be with them that they may come to know, love and serve Him in this life and the next. We pray for Divine protection for them and all those around them, that they might not be lost to evil or feel abandoned.

Lord, deliver all souls from pride, arrogance, self-centeredness and narcisstic blindness. Help souls to live as your children, in peace, humility and love, ever transformed by your mercy and the Divine presence within.

Holy Trinity sanctify our lives that we may live according to God's perfect will for us in this life and the next.

Larry, Carl, Tom and Anthony

Rome, Italy - Today we are praying for all Natural and Spiritual Fathers, living and deceased, who have given their lives for the good of their families. We pray for Larry, Carl, Tom and Anthony, who have one thing in common: they are Fathers who have put their families first in their lives. By doing their best for the good of their families each day, they are witnesses of God's love and mercy.

As we celebrate Father's Day let us thank God for our Fathers who have touched our lives in so many sacred and loving ways. We are especially thankful to God the Father for being the source of all goodness and life.

God the Father, continue to bless all Fathers this day with your merciful and caring heart. Help them continue to be a loving expression of your wisdom and grace in our lives. Lead each Father in the ways of your Sacred Heart so they may continue to be a living witness of your divine presence among us.

Lord, bless all Spiritual Fathers as well, especially our Pope, Bishops, pastors and those who spiritually direct us. May your Sacred Heart be glorified by all that they do.

Kurt Herdering, Age 10, Freeport, Minnesota

Freeport, Minnesota - A ten year old boy is in critical condition at the Hennepin County Medical Center after he was injured in a farm accident on Monday. The boy, Kurt Herdering, was helping with farm chores and became trapped in an auger at his home just north of Freeport, Minnesota.

The accident happened just after five oclock and Herdering was taken from the scene by Life Link to the St. Cloud Hospital and later to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Lord, we ask for healing for Kurt and all children suffering this day from accidents. Help us to encourage safety and wisdom as our children play and grow this summer. We entrust them to your care and ask your blessing and providential grace to guide and protect them.

Bless all those who are child care or health care providers for their loving concern for others. Grant them your divine grace and patience as they share your gift of mercy and love with those in their care.

Maryam Age 27 and Marzieh Age 30

Tehran - In August of 2009 Maryam Rustampoor(27) and Marzieh Amirizadeh (30) were sent to prison for not renouncing their Christian faith. Since then they have suffered ill health and mistreatment for their beliefs. Let us offer our prayers for these two women and countless others who suffer for their faith. Let us not forget them, but pray unceasingly until they are free.

Maryam and Marziehs case is a clear and harsh violation of human rights and religious liberty by Irans authorities. They deserve the support of all those who respect human rights so that they may be released without charges to pursue a life of freedom.

Lord, free all those suffering persecution and abuse because of their beliefs or present situation. Comfort them with your Holy Spirit. Send a Pentecost of hope and love upon them by your intervention, protection and deliverance.

Lord, conquer evil with good and do not let the tyranny of others destroy the human rights of your people. Anoint all souls who believe in you and raise up an army of assistants for those in most need.

Lord, in your mercy and love You have sent us a new Pentecost of Freedom to do your will and follow You as your children. Do not let evil triumph but conquer evil with good. Turn our crosses into precious gifts of our love for You and our neighbor. As always we trust in your Mercy!

The People of the Sudan

JUBA, Sudan We are praying for the people of the Sudan, who will begin the political process of dividing their country into two separate regions on July 9th. Already there has been violence and need for intervention.

A confidential United Nations' report warns that the invasion by Sudan's military of the contested north-south region of Abyei could lead to "ethnic cleansing" if the tens of thousands of residents who fled are not able to return.

The U.N. human rights report "Not For Public Citation or Distribution", said the north's Khartoum government may have carried out a premeditated military plan to invade Abyei when Sudanese Armed Forces, or SAF, troops moved in May 21.

"The SAF attack and occupation of Abyei and the resultant displacement of over 30,000 Ngok Dinkas from Abyei could lead to ethnic cleansing, if conditions for the return of the displaced Ngok Dinka residents are not created," according to the report, which was obtained by The Associated Press on Friday.

There is an urgent growing consensus that UN monitoring is needed to ensure peace. The Head of the US Homeland Security Agency met with UN Officials in the Sudan to assess what can be done to ensure peace. We pray that their peace keeping efforts will be blessed and that all those involved will be inspired by the Holy Spirit to seek peace and unity, not war and
violence.

Lord, we pray for the people of Sudan, their culture and heritage. Assist them and all those trying to stabilize the country in order to prepare for a peaceful separation. Place peace in the hearts of all peoples that they may seek unity, not greed, peace not war and respect for all human rights, not genocide. "Lord make us instruments of your peace..."
