Easter Intentions 2013

Easter Tridium 2013 - During this holy time we remember all those in prison, who are suffering for their sins against humanity, themselves and God. May the Mercy of God console them and bless them with new beginnings in Christ the Lord. May the power of Jesus' Cross bring them new hope, new life and a new spirit.

Let us pray for all those suffering from being in emotional prison: those abused, terrorized and/or violated in anyway. May they experience the healing presence of our Risen Lord and be consoled with the knowledge that God has triumphed over evil and has conquered evil with good. May they know that all things are possible in God and be affirmed by God's Word and grace at this holy time. "Do not be discouraged you are not forgotten."

Let us pray for all those in a mental prision, the mentally ill, those with addictions, the despairing, those without hope or joy. May they be comforted by Jesus' life, death and Resurrection. God is with all His people and shares the faith, hope and love needed to be transformed and transfigured in His light into a new creation.

For all those in spiritual prison, those who are alienated from God, society and/or themselves, those who do not have faith, who suffer from spiritual blindness, pride and habitual sin. Let us pray for all those who reject God and do not take responsibility for their own sin. Let us pray for those who perpetuate evil and call it good; for those who have made God in their own image and want God on their own terms; for all those who are the feeling lost and abandoned; for those not open to conversion and God working in their lives. Grant them, oh Lord, your light, on going conversion and powerful infusion of your grace and perfect will for them. Help them to know, love and serve you in this life and the next. Amen

A Blessed Easter Season to you and your family!

All Those with Heavy Burdens

St Leo Abbey, St Leo FL - Let us pray for all those who have lost a loved one and face the burden of living day to day without their presence, especially Father James Hoge OSB of Saint Leo Abbey, who recently passed unto eternal life. Father James was 96 years old and one of the founding Fathers of Saint Leo Abbey. His years of ministry were inspiring to all his brother Benedictines, as well as all those whom he served. Our hearts go out to all religious brothers and sisters who are burying a long loved member of their community.

In a family setting loosing a family member, like Kumsum Chon is a heavy burden as well. Families dealing with the recent loss of a loved one find comfort in their faith and the witness of their loved one that eternal life is promised to all the faithful who love and trust in God. Death becomes a blessing when it gives us hope when dealing with the passing of a loved ones. So many lives have touched us and lead us to holiness by their silent witness of living a holy intentional life in God. Let us remember daily their witness and love, which are an eternal blessing for all the faithful.

Each day we are all reminded of the grace and blessings of all our family members and the promise of life in God for all eternity by Jesus Christ. Like Saint Francis death is an eternal gift for it reminds us of our eternal reward.

Good Saint Joseph, patron of the grace of a happy death, remember all our loved ones past, present and future, who have been taken to their eternal reward. May we join them and be blessed by the sacred gift of living with God forever for all eternity. May all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace and remain ever in our hearts for all eternity. Amen

Mary, our Blessed Mother, usher all the deceased members of our families with your prayers unto eternal life, with the light and love of the holy presence of God and all His Saints and Angels. Eternal rest grant unto them, oh Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon them now and forever more. Amen

For all those burdened with heavy loss and despair this day, may the promises of God give them hope and comfort as they face life challenges. May they never be tempted to take life or abandon hope in God for God truly loves us and guides us unto eternity. May the souls of all our loved ones be comforted and encouraged this day unto all eternity. Amen

Hail Mary full of Grace... Our Father who art in heaven...Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit...Amen

Pope Francis I, Bishop of Rome

Vatican City - Let us join our hearts and best wishes by praying together for the newly elected Pope Francis I:

"O God, who in your providential design, willed that your Church be built upon blessed Peter, whom you set over the other Apostles, look with favor, we pray, on Francis our Pope and grant that he, whom you have made Peter's successor, may be for your people a visible source and foundation of unity in faith and communion, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever." - from EWTN Prayer Intentions

The Election of a New Pope 2013

Vatican City - "Most glorious God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we your flock await a new Shepherd you have prepared to lead your people. Many dark valleys may be ahead, yet our trust in your Divine providence makes us long for a new spring time in the Church. In every age you guide and safeguard the faithful by sending forth a Holy Father to take up the keys of Saint Peter and govern that which you have founded.

By the fire of your Spirit, pour forth Divine Wisdom and inspire those Cardinals who will elect the next Pope. May they fulfill your perfect will and raise a Holy man to shepherd us by word and example. Under his leadership may your Church boldly proclaim the joy of our faith, the reason of our hope, and the charity that comes through the Truth.

May your mighty hand protect the Church through whatever storms that lay ahead and lead us safely home to the vision of your glory. Amen" - Pedro de la Cruz

Ramsey Farrar, Age 4, Leukemia Survivor

CaringBridge Website - The Farrar family's world changed radically in February 2009, when Ramsey was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Since then, the family has experienced firsthand the power of hope and encouragement that CaringBridge provides during such an emotionally trying time.

One day, Ramsey started to feel ill and his temperature rose above 102 degrees. After several doctor visits, examinations, medical scans and a lot of pain for Ramsey, tests indicated that he had ALL. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a "liquid" tumor, or cancer of the blood, that starts in the bone marrow and spreads to the bloodstream. As the most common pediatric cancer, ALL accounts for 35 percent of all cancers in children.

As Ramsey started his long journey through treatment, his parents Joseph and Shawna launched his CaringBridge website after their social worker at Emanuel Children's Hospital recommended the free service.

Shawna's childhood lukemia blog, which began as a wonderful way to let all of their family and friends know how Ramsey was doing at one time became a healing experience for her. "Well, believe it or not I really look forward to doing this each night. It's sort of therapeutic for me," Shawna wrote only weeks after Ramsey's diagnosis. Shawna found that her favorite part of CaringBridge was reading the encouraging notes from family and friends who follow Ramsey's leukemia fight.

Ramsey began chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia the day after he was diagnosed, treatment that continues today. He had surgery to put in his port, received a catheter twice, endured countless back and leg pokes, and needed a feeding tube at one point. Ramsey takes chemo orally every day, once a month in his port, and once every three months in his spine.

Ramsey continues to be a most courageous patient and greets each day with a smile. Please be generous with your time and send your prayers for healing to Ramsey and his Mom and Dad.

Holy Family of Nazareth, be with the Farrar family and all families with children with life-threatening conditions. Jesus, Mary and Joseph send your healing love to all children struggling with grave health issues. Be their comfort; be their guide. Surround them with your Divine presence now and always. Amen

Two Month Old Girl with Head Trauma

SADDLE BROOK, NJ - A 2-month-old girl remains in critical condition at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson today, following a three-car accident on Route 80 last night, State Police said.

The accident occurred when a Mazda sedan traveling west through Saddle Brook lost its left front wheel and was struck from the rear by a Honda CRV, according to Sgt. Adam Grossman of the State Police.

The Mazda, carrying four people, was pushed into the left lane, where it collided with a Nissan Altima, Grossman said.

The baby girl, who was riding in the back seat, suffered serious head injuries. Other injuries in the accident were described as minor, Grossman said.

Lord, we pray for all children suffering from head traumas. Grant your healing and mercy at this critical time. May the Holy Infant of Bethlehem perpetually intercede for their intentions and come to their aid. Amen
