More Saints in the World

Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola - Saint Ignatius founded an order of holy knights to champion the causes of God and the church. It is called the "Society of Jesus". Saint Ignatius encourages us to become knights for Jesus for we are all engaged in spiritual battles in some form. Let us be champions of God dedicated to increasing faith, hope and charity in the world. Let us continue to be ambassadors of mercy to the poor, the sick, the dying and the oppressed. Let us be "Jesus" to others.

Lord, we pray for an abiding peace in our hearts, in our homes and in the world.

Lord, raise up new Saints to defend our faith and all Christians throughout the world.

Lord, grace us with a persevering faith, hope and love to better serve you.

Lord, bless all your children especially those suffering from violence and abuse. Restore your image and likeness in souls who do violence to others and teach their hearts to be more like yours. Let your mercy, order and wisdom guide our decision-making and destiny.
For you alone are most holy and call all souls to become saints and soldiers of your heavenly army.

We ask this through the intercession of Saint Ignatius of Loyola as we pray with him:

"Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will, All I have and call my own." All for your glory Lord, glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

500,000 Mosul Refugees and More

Mosul, Iraq - More than 500,000 people have fled the city of Mosul in fear, after extremist militants threaten key cities in Iraq. Christians have been targeted for death, if they do not leave. Religious persecution has become a way of life in many war-torn countries, as fighting and conflict destroy all humanitarian boundaries and rights such as human decency and religious freedom. The recent Christian holocaust in the Middle East, Ukraine, Asia and Africa has produced more martyrs than every before. This haunting question lingers for us all: "How can the world be silent when Christians are being crucified and dispossessed of their homes and livelihood?"

Lord, inspire us to pray and act as we ought during the present Christian and humanitarian crises. Let us remember our brothers and sisters, who are homeless, marginalized and threatened by war, poverty, disease and death because of their ethnic and religious beliefs. Come to the aid of your people oppressed and yearning to be free. Do not let the tyranny of evil prevail, but conquer evil with good and all your heavenly gifts. May your legion of angels, principalities and powers render your mercy and justice to all involved.

Lord, open closed hearts; change cold and indifferent hearts; empower world leaders with your wisdom so that all humankind may respond in love, mercy and respect to the needs of others.

Lord, we beg you, no more war; place your mercy and love in the hearts of all mankind so that your perfect will is realized in all hearts, homes, nations and throughout the universe. May your kingdom be realized so that there may be a holy, abiding peace, where once there was war, persecution, oppression and mass despair.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of all mankind and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Empower all to be merciful as you are merciful. Call all peoples and nations to a conversion of heart so all life and cultures may be respected and recognized as your rich blessing and treasure. Let your holy fire of love reign in all hearts until there is lasting peace. Amen

Holy Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us; Lord of Mercy and Father of Wisdom, pray for us; Holy Trinity, Author of life and Creator of all things, be with us in our hour of need and always. Amen

Blessings on all Families

Feast of Joachim and Ann - Joachim and Ann were parents of Mary and grandparents of Jesus. They are a great example for all of us in providing spiritual direction for their child at an early age. Mary spent her early years in the temple learning about God and his law. They taught her to put God first in her life and to pray for God's guidance always.

In the spiritual life God plants seeds of holiness in a timely manner. Some people are aware of their call early and others discover God's providential plan later in life. Let us always remember we all have a call to be holy. Discovering and developing this call is what the spiritual life is all about. Daily attentiveness to the sacred within is the essence of prayer and holiness. It is encountering the presence of God, which shapes and transforms us into his real true presence. God gave us his Body and Blood in the Eucharist so that we might be transform and transfigured into his children.

Let us pray for all vocations to family and religious life; for an increase of faith, hope and charity and for God's protection, intervention and deliverance. May we know, love and serve God always. Prayer is the essence of our existence and our life-line to God. Let us honor this gift and thank God for our many blessings each and every day.

Lord, thank you for all parents and grandparents, who love and nurture your children. We ask you to bless all those who have helped us on a spiritual journey and were instruments of your providential care. We ask this through the intercession of Saint Joachim and Ann and the Holy family. Amen

Saint Ann's Intercession

Scottsdale, AZ - Today we are praying for all those who are heavily burdened and asked our prayers. Please visit our prayer sanctuary and lift the intentions there up in prayer using the following Saint Ann daily prayer. God honors our heartfelt prayers for others. Let us continue to be faithful in prayer and love to all those who God has given us to serve.

DAILY PRAYER TO SAINT ANN

O glorious St. Ann, you are filled with compassion for those who invoke you and with love for those who suffer! Heavily burdened with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present intention which I recommend to you in your special care.

Please recommend it to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and place it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Continue to intercede for me until my request is granted. But, above all, obtain for me the grace one day to see my God face to face, and with you and Mary and all the saints to praise and bless Him for all eternity. Amen.

Our Father, . . . Hail Mary . . .

O Jesus, Holy Mary, St. Ann, help me now and at the hour of my death.

Good St. Ann, intercede for me.

PEACE PEACE PEACE 2014

Gaza - The dark horizon is afire with rockets. Smoke hangs in the air and death lingers as a promise of things yet to be.

Why Oh Lord, does man choose violence over peace? So many women and children are innocent victims of political powers, who are unable to resolve their differences. Please Lord we beg you intervene, protect and deliver the innocent by-standers from harms way.

How long will it take for history to prove that in war everyone looses; that peace comes after patience and communication prevail and when humankind are committed to a mutual respect for others.

Lord, let not the insanity of a few, kill thousands as well as our environmental legacy for our children! What price victory, if our soil is contaminated and life is extinguished? If our water and air become a wasteland and our children cannot breath or eat because of wars' legacy?

Lord, we beg for peace and for wisdom to dominate all minds and hearts this day. How many times will your Son be crucified for the sins of others? Restore faith, hope and charity so that the peace process may begin and be lasting. We pray with your Son as He died on the cross: "Father forgive them, they know not what they do.!"

Please pray for peace in your homes, in our churches and in all work places, especially all governments involved in conflict. We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Good Saint Joseph Patron of our Providential Care and Our Risen Lord and Savior. Let all mankind choose peace not war now and for future generations. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us! Amen

God's Migrant Children

Washington, DC - Let us encourage our President, Congress and Civil authorities with our prayers as they deliberate how to assist over 50,000 children trying to enter the United States at our southern borders.

Pope Francis recently noted that migrants around the world are subjected to racist and xenophobic attitudes. He strongly encourages all countries to treat migrants with respect, especially the tens of thousands of Central American children crossing the border into the United States. They need to be welcomed and protected.

In a letter Monday to a Vatican conference in Mexico City on human migration and development, the Pontiff said that immigration has become a hallmark of modern society. Many people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically, Pope Francis said, according to a Vatican Radio translation. Many of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes. The Pope drew special attention to the crisis on the U.S. border. He said that not only must the children be welcomed but the world must also promote development in their home countries.

Lord, bless all children especially the homeless, the migrant and the orphaned. Through the intercession of the Holy Child of Nazareth may they be treated as children of God and our brothers and sisters in need. We ask this so that charity may triumph over poverty and generosity overcome despair.

Lord, you are our hope and our salvation. We entrust all needy children suffering this day to your perpetual care. Inspire all countries to respond generously to the needs of all children in their care. In all things may you be praised. Amen

Vocations to the Religious Life

Feast of Saint Benedict - Join us as we pray this Novena Prayer to St. Benedict for all vocations, especially those to the religious life.

"O glorious St. Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God's grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at thy feet. I implore thee, in thy loving kindness, to pray for me before the throne of God. To thee do I have recourse in the dangers that daily surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor. Inspire me to imitate thee in all things. May thy blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.

Graciously obtain for me from God these favors and graces which I need so much in the trials, miseries and afflictions of life. Thy heart was always full of love, compassion and mercy toward those who were afflicted or troubled in any way. Thou didst never dismiss without consolation and assistance anyone who had recourse to thee. I therefore invoke thy powerful intercession, confident in the hope that thou wilt hear my prayers and obtain for me the special grace and favor I earnestly implore. (Name your petition.)

Help me, great St. Benedict, to live and die as a faithful child of God, to run in the sweetness of His loving will and to attain the eternal happiness of Heaven. Amen."

Aubree McCormick, 4 Months Old, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown, Ohio family is asking for prayers for a 4-month-old baby girl is in critical condition in the Akron Children's Burn unit.

Aubree McCormick is in the burn unit of Akron Children's Hospital. What had been a day of fun on the 4th of July changed in an instant that evening as she was sitting in a rock-n-play seat on the porch with family.

"Two children lit fireworks two doors down. One of them kicked one and it shot off. It hit the window on the front porch and it landed in my granddaughter's bed and all I could do was just react. I didn't think, I reacted. I grabbed hold of the firework and then the bed caught on fire that she was laying in," says Carol McCormick, Aubree's grandmother.

Lord, please bless Aubree and all those recovering from accidents from the 4th of July. Send your healing love to all those suffering and consolation to their families. Inspire the doctors and nurses who attend them with your providential care and if it be your holy will, grant holy miraculous healings. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen

Blessings on Independence Day

July 4, 2014 - On this Independence Day I am reminded of all those who have sacrificed for my freedom, following the example of your Son, Jesus Christ. Let me not take my freedom, both physical and spiritual, for granted. May I always remember that my freedom was purchases with a very high price. My freedom cost others their very lives.

Lord, today, bless those who have served and continue to give their lives for my freedom. With favor and bounty meet their needs and watch over their families.

Help me to live my life in a way that glorifies you, Lord. Give me the strength to be a blessing to others, and grant me the opportunity to lead others into the freedom that can be found in knowing Christ. Amen

Dr Abram Ber, Healer, Physican, Friend 2014

Scottsdale, AZ - Dr. Abram Ber lived committed to a holistic lifestyle as he himself had many allergies and, as a result of the severe stresses incurred, suffered with very poor adrenal function that required medication. He read the holistic medical journals, was always studying, and was up on the latest strategies and protocols.

He was profoundly affected by the Holocaust whose impact permeated his very core. The immense sorrow he suffered never left him, and created within him a deep desire to be of help to others. His charitable contributions were more than 50% of his income. He gave away millions of dollars to help orphanages in Israel, Talmudic academies, and was a significant contributor to Chabad.

Dr. Ber identified with Albert Einstein's saying "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."

He was predeceased by his son, Eli, who was a naturopathic physician. Eli's suffering with Crohns' disease for 25 years and his final suffering and struggle with cancer left Dr. Abram Ber totally heart broken.

He was happily married to his second wife, Beth, whom he considered his best friend and a true 'Aishes Chayil,' a woman of valor. And, he maintained a warm and caring relationship with his first wife, Moselle Benjamin.

He left behind his firstborn son, Hershel, and his family as well as the wife and children of his son Eli. Funeral services were held at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ on June 24, 2014.

Many were his friends both in the holistic world and his thousands of patients and his beloved Jewish people.

Lord, we thank you for Dr Ber and all deceased souls you have empowered with your gift of healing. Grant them your blessing, eternal rest and consolation to their families. To all souls who have given so much for others, we are truly grateful. Surely their lives speak of holiness and a profound commitment to life and the healing of others. May they rest in peace.

Lord, into your hands we commend their spirit and may your perpetual light shine upon them and all those they served. Amen
