Daily Prayer by Saint Therese

Scottsdale, AZ - As we wake each morning let us make a morning offering of our heart, mind and actions throughout the day, asking God for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and graces we need to accomplish God's perfect will in our lives. Following is Saint Therese of Lisieux's little offering that she often prayed:

"Merciful Father, in the name of our lovable Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and all the Saints, I ask you to set me on fire with Your Spirit of love and to grant me the grace of making You deeply loved."

Let us pray for all those living an intentional life for God and for more vocations to the priesthood, religious life, consecrated laity and missionaries. We ask this all for the glory and honor of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Please add your own personal intentions.

A Call for Divine Mercy

Shrine of Divine Mercy, Stockbridge, Mass

Intention: Our prayers go out to all those in most need of God's mercy - the sick, the poor, the dying, those suffering in anyway, for all those who have no one to pray for them and especially for all those, who have asked our prayers. For these intentions and those with hold in the silence of our hearts, we pray:

"Eternal Father, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy Itself. Amen" - Closing prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

A Eucharistic Miracle Approved for Veneration

Legnica, Poland - A bleeding Host that "has the hallmarks of a Eucharistic miracle" was approved for veneration in Poland over the weekend.

The announcement was made by Bishop Zbigniew Kiernikowski of Legnica on April 17, 2016.

On Christmas Day 2013, a consecrated Host fell to the floor, the bishop said. It was picked up and placed in a container with water. Soon after, red stains appeared on the host.

Then Bishop of Legnica, Stefan Cichy, created a commission to monitor the host. In February 21, a small fragment was placed on a corporal and underwent testing by various research institutes.

The final medical statement by the Department of Forensic Medicine found: "In the histopathological image, the fragments were found containing the fragmented parts of the cross striated muscle. It is most similar to the heart muscle." Tests also determined the tissue to be of human origin, and found that it bore signs of distress.

Saying that the Host "has the hallmarks of a Eucharistic miracle," Bishop Kiernikowski explained that in January 2016, he presented the matter to the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

In April, in accordance with the Holy See's recommendations, he asked parish priest Andrzej Ziombrze "to prepare a suitable place for the Relics so that the faithful could venerate it."

Lord, we ask your healing and love be poured out upon all the sick and suffering this day, especially those recovering from heart problems, especially Father Mitch of the EWTN Television Network. We ask this through the intercession of all the angels and saints. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Divine Mercy Consecration: The Little Way

Shrine of Divine Mercy Stockbridge, Mass - Let us begin today and enter into our Lord's Divine Mercy, through a total consecration of our love for God and for our neighbor.

Saint Therese of Lisieux's little way of consecration to Divine Love is revealed in the following prayer:

"Merciful Father, relying on the prayers and example of Abraham and Mary, my father and mother in faith, and of Saint Therese, my sister in the way of humble confidence, I __________, choose, this day, with the help of your grace, to strive with all my heart to follow the Little Way. And so, I firmly intend to fight discouragement, do little things with great love, and be merciful to my neighbor in deed, word, and prayer.

I am to keep before my eyes my poverty, weakness, brokenness and sin, trusting that my littleness and contrite heart will attract your Merciful Love.

I choose to remain always little, not relying on my own merits but solely on yours, dear Lord, and those of the Blessed Mother.

Finally, I believe, my God, that you can and will make me into a saint, even if I may not see it, even if I have to struggle all my life against vice and sin, even if I have to wait until the very end. This blind hope in your mercy, O Lord, is my only treasure.

And now, to confirm my resolve and to console you for so much rejection of your mercy, I offer myself, through the hands of Mary Immaculate, as a Victim of holocaust to your merciful love, asking you to consume me incessantly, allowing the waves of infinite tenderness shut up within you to overflow into my soul, and that I may thus become a martyr of your love, O my God, and a gift of mercy to so many others. I ask this in Jesus' name." - from "33 Days to Merciful Love" by Michael E. Gaitley

Lord, grant us the grace to live in your merciful love through the intentional living in mind, body and spirit, of this little way. Accept our love as a gift of faith, hope and charity so that your mercy may be actualized by all that we do. We ask for this great grace all for your glory! - Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." Amen

Divine Mercy is for Everyone!

Stockbridge, Mass - Divine Mercy is for everyone! It is a gift from God and an extension of His tender loving care. Persevere in asking for God's many blessings. He loves all of us and desires to have an intimate relationship with us.

Let us pray for God's mercy each and everyday. Let us consecrate each moment as an opportunity to grow in God's mercy. In a special way we offer our prayers for all the sick, the struggling, the homeless, the poor, the dying, holy souls in purgatory and for the many hidden prayers yet not shared.

"Most Merciful Jesus, your goodness is infinite and the treasures of your grace inexhaustible. I have infinite trust in your mercy, which is above all your works. I surrender myself to you entirely and without reserve, that I may thus live and strive for Christian perfection. I desire to spread your mercy through the performance of both spiritual and corporal works of mercy, particularly in converting sinners and in consoling and aiding the needy, the afflicted, and the sick.

Guard me, then, as your possession and your glory, for which I have everything to fear from my human weakness; at the same time, I have everything to hope from your mercy. May all mankind come to know the fathomless depths of your mercy, to confide in it, and to glorify it forever. Amen" - from the Shrine of Divine Mercy

Mary, Mother of Mercy, we consecrate our heart, mind and body to Divine Mercy with all our love!

Feast of the Annunciation 2016

Feast of the Annunciation 2016 - As we celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation, we thank God for His Incarnation and Mary's "Yes" to the Lord's invitation to become the Mother of God.

The Incarnation and the Annunciation are beautiful expressions of God's love and mercy for us. Let us enter more deeply into these mysteries as we continue to celebrate the gift of Divine Mercy to the world.

Mary, Mother of Mercy pray for us, especially the sick, the suffering and those souls in most need of God's mercy.

Beloved Mother of God, Gate of Mercy, hold us close in your heart that God's divine destiny may be accomplished in all that we do.

Lord, grant us the grace to always say "Yes" to your will for us so that our lives may glorify and magnify your living presence among us.

Risen Lord, thank you for your mercy and peace. Help us to advance your kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Like Mary may we pray: "I am the servant of the Lord. Let it be done to me as you say." Lk 1:38

Pope Francis' Prayer for the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy

Divine Mercy Sunday 2016

Pope Francis invites us to pray this prayer of Mercy during this Extraordinary Jubilee Year for all those who have asked our prayers and especially for those in most need of Divine Mercy. Please pray with us as we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday.

"Lord Jesus Christ, you have taught us to be merciful like the heavenly Father, and have told us that whoever sees you sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved. Your loving gaze freed Zachaeus and Matthew from being enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene from seeking happiness only in created things; made Peter weep after his betrayal, and assured Paradise to the repentant thief. Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: 'If you knew the gift of God!'

You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and glorified. You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiven by God.

Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to the blind.

We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Mercy, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen."
