Martha Poerner, Age 43, San Angelo, TX
SAN ANGELO, Texas — A San Angelo woman struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street remains in critical condition. Martha Poerner, 43, was taken to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance after being hit by a Dodge pickup driven by J. Lee Cauthen, 58, of San Angelo. Investigators believe Cauthen was driving south on South Chadbourne Street and was turning east onto East Avenue when he struck Poerner. The accident is under investigation.
